GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
for Participation in a Blood Bowl Tournament
-
Introductory Agreements
-
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “GTC”) govern the conditions of participation in an official wargaming tournament organized under the NAF organization (https://www.thenaf.net/) (hereinafter referred to as the “Tournament”), organized by Opus Storio s.r.o., Company ID No.: 23993154, with its registered office at Dlouhá 715/38, Staré Město, 110 00 Prague 1 (hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”).
-
The Tournament is organized in accordance with the rules of the relevant official international NAF league and these GTC.
-
The Tournament takes place in rented non-residential premises — participants are required to comply with all criteria, rules, operational and safety regulations, and instructions of the lessor (hereinafter referred to as the “Premises / Lessor”).
-
Participants are obliged to follow and respect the instructions of the Organizer and persons authorized by the Organizer.
-
These GTC are published prior to registration; by submitting a registration, the participant confirms that they have read and agree to these GTC.
-
-
Registration, Payment, and Cancellation
-
Registration takes place via a form or platform designated by the Organizer, or by email. The participant must provide truthful and complete information.
-
Participation is conditional upon payment of the entry fee in the amount and within the deadline specified by the Organizer.
-
If a participant decides not to attend the Tournament, they are obliged to notify the Organizer of the cancellation by email. The paid entry fee shall be forfeited.
-
The Organizer reserves the right to refuse a registration (e.g., due to capacity limits or other organizational reasons); in such a case, the paid entry fee will be refunded in full.
-
-
Tournament Format, Rules, and Changes
-
The Tournament shall be governed by the official rules of the international NAF league, including all current errata and supplements. Details are set out in the specific tournament rules published on the Organizer’s website (https://opus-storio.com/).
-
The Organizer may announce additional restrictions prior to the start of the Tournament (e.g., permitted team rosters, maximum number of players, allowed equipment, etc.).
-
The match schedule, game system (Swiss, knockout, league, group, etc.), timetable, and maps/schedule shall be announced by the Organizer prior to the start of the Tournament.
-
The Organizer reserves the right to change the format, schedule, or timetable — participants will be informed, and such changes shall be considered binding.
-
-
Intellectual Property Rights and Recording
-
The participant agrees that photographic and audiovisual recordings (videos, photographs, streams) may be made during the Tournament. These recordings may be used by the Organizer for documentation, promotion, social media, websites, and potential future tournaments.
-
The participant grants the Organizer a non-exclusive license to use their name, gaming nickname, and likeness in recordings and game-related outputs for the purposes stated above.
-
Any commercial use of recordings (sale, advertising, publicity outside the event) is permitted only with the express consent of the Organizer.
-
-
Participant Conduct, Safety, and Operating Rules
-
Participants undertake to behave politely, fairly, and respectfully toward other players, organizers, the lessor, and property located within the Premises.
-
It is prohibited to:
-
handle equipment, technical devices, or property of the Lessor/Organizer without their consent,
-
bring weapons, explosives, dangerous or prohibited items, or any items that may endanger safety,
-
disrupt order, cleanliness, fire safety regulations, or block emergency exits,
-
disturb other participants, disrupt the course of the Tournament, or engage in vulgar, discriminatory, or aggressive behavior,
-
falsify results, cheat during gameplay, intentionally delay the game, or otherwise violate game rules.
-
-
Violation of these rules may result in a warning, match forfeiture, disqualification, or removal from the Premises without a refund of the entry fee.
-
-
Liability and Insurance
-
The Organizer is not liable for loss or theft of participants’ personal belongings — participants are responsible for safeguarding their own property.
-
The Organizer is not liable for damage caused to the lessor of the Premises if such damage is caused by the participant’s actions. The participant is obliged to compensate the damage in full.
-
The Organizer is not liable for adverse circumstances preventing the Tournament from taking place — e.g., failures on the part of the lessor, natural disasters, actions of public authorities, or force majeure.
-
-
Personal Data Protection
-
The Organizer processes participants’ personal data (name, nickname, contact details, team, game statistics, photographs/videos) exclusively for the purposes of tournament organization, records, communication, and potential promotion.
-
Legal basis for processing: the participant’s consent and/or performance of an agreed obligation (participation in the Tournament).
-
Personal data shall be stored for the period necessary for operation and record-keeping of the Tournament, but no longer than 3 years, unless legal regulations require otherwise.
-
The participant has the right to request access to, correction of, restriction of processing, or deletion of their personal data (to the extent legally permissible).
-
-
Cancellation, Change, or Rescheduling of the Tournament
-
The Organizer has the right to cancel, postpone, or change the Tournament (date, location, format) for organizational, technical, or other reasons.
-
In the event of cancellation of the Tournament by the Organizer, participants shall receive a full (100%) refund of the entry fee paid.
-
In the event of a change of date, the participant has the right either to confirm participation or to request a refund of the entry fee within 3 business days of notification of the change.
-
-
Prizes, Rewards, and Reservations
-
Prizes or rewards (financial, material, or other) shall be defined by the Organizer prior to the start of the Tournament.
-
Only a participant who fulfills the Tournament conditions and completes the Tournament in accordance with the rules is entitled to a prize or reward.
-
The Organizer reserves the right to modify prizes or not award them (e.g., in the case of a low number of participants, organizational difficulties, or violations of the rules).
-
-
Complaints, Claims, and Dispute Resolution
-
Complaints regarding organizational, technical, or administrative matters may be submitted no later than 3 business days after the end of the Tournament — verbally or in writing to the Organizer, or by email.
-
The Organizer shall endeavor to resolve complaints within 30 days.
-
Disputes arising from participation in the Tournament shall first be resolved amicably, and in all cases exclusively privately with the Organizer until the complaint procedure is fully concluded. If no agreement is reached, the court with jurisdiction according to the Organizer’s registered office shall have competence.
-
-
Final Agreements
-
By registering for and participating in the Tournament, the participant confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to these GTC.
-
The Organizer is entitled to unilaterally amend or supplement these GTC at any time — the current version shall always be available prior to registration.
-
If any provision of these GTC is legally unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions, which shall remain in force.
-
